Krishna was the eighth son of Devaki and Vasudeva.
Krishna was the eighth son of Devaki and Vasudeva. Based on scriptural details and astrological calculations the date of Krishna's birth is 3228 BCE and departed on 3102 BCE. Krishna belonged to the Vrishni clan of Yadavas from Mathura, and was the eighth son born to the princess Devaki, and her husband Vasudeva. Krishna, avatar of Vishnu took birth for a great purpose and he only provided us knowledge bhagavad geeta,, he told us about the aim of our dharma i.e. karma yog (duty), gyan yog (knowledge) and bhakti yog (devotion toward god), he explained every thing about god and gave us a pathway to god..... Happy Janamashtmi .. Let us remember and pray krishna ....
